General
What is $RARI?
$RARI is the official token of Rarible API. It's an ERC-20 token for RARI Chain and Rarible. $RARI can be used for governance in the RARI DAO. The DAO governs Rarible API and RARI Chain via veRARI. The foundation helps implement anything the DAO has voted in and is governed by its holders of the $RARI token, which can be used for governance when locked.
By locking $RARI, $RARI is converted to veRARI, which gives you voting power. When you have veRARI, you receive additional benefits such as 0% trading fees, private Discord access, and prime status.
Note: You must lock at least 100 RARI to receive the benefits.
You can learn more about $RARI at: https://rari.foundation/.
How can I see if I own any $RARI?
You can see if you own $RARI by connecting your Ethereum wallet to Rarible.com or rari.foundation and clicking on your profile picture. From this window you’ll be able to see your ETH, wETH, and $RARI balances.

What can I do with my $RARI?
$RARI token holders can lock up their tokens to receive veRARI—a token that enables holders to submit and vote on the proposals related to the Rarible API.
Locking 100 $RARI will come with these benefits:
Participate in governance with the DAO (you'll receive veRARI if you lock up any $RARI).
0% seller fees on Rarible.com
Private Discord access
RARI Prime badge along with veRARI role

RARI Chain
What is RARI Chain?
RARI Chain is a creator-centric L3 with royalties built on the node level, powered by Arbitrum. It prioritizes its users by providing low costs (near-zero gas fees), fast transactions, customization, and royalties.
The token for RARI Chain is ETH.
You can learn more about RARI Chain at: https://rarichain.org/.
How do I bridge off of RARI Chain?
Relay Bridge: https://relay.link/bridge/rari/
1. Go to https://relay.link/bridge/rari/ and connect your wallet.
2. Select RARI Chain from the drop-down menu in the "From" section. Choose your preferred network in the "To" section (Ex. Arbitrum One or Ethereum).
3. Click "Bridge."
Arbitrum Native Bridge
1. Go to https://bridge.arbitrum.io/?destinationChain=rari-mainnet&sourceChain=arbitrum-one and connect your wallet.
2. To access your funds on RARI Chain, you must bridge back to Arbitrum mainnet or Ethereum mainnet. The bridge will require you to first bridge from RARI Chain to Arbitrum (with a 7 day waiting period added by Arbtirum from security), then Arbitrum to Etherum. Please note that after the 7 day period, you will need to claim your tokens. To learn more, please visit our docs: https://rari.docs.caldera.dev/claiming
Please review each step carefully. RARI Chain is not responsible for any lost funds.

How does the royalty enforcing mechanism work on RARI Chain?
RARI Chain embeds royalty on the node level. In simple terms, the sequencer only processes royalties-respecting transactions and doesn’t let those trying to avoid royalties payment pass. This isn’t just a feature; it’s a guarantee and immutable.
In a scenario where some smart developers find new ways to bypass this royalty enforcement mechanism, we will work with our community to identify these cases and implement measures on a case-by-case basis. Our community will be the best partner in ensuring bad actors are flagged and we protect the rights of our web3 creators.
How do I get funds to RARI Chain (bridging ETH to RARI Chain)?
Getting RARI Chain ETH begins your journey to trade NFTs on RARI Chain. It's important to know that RARI Chain ETH differs from $RARI on Rarible Foundation. There are a few different ways to attain RARI Chain ETH. Follow this article to find which way fits your preferences.
Note: Your blockchain's network charges a fee to bridge/convert your tokens.
Bridge using Relay: https://relay.link/bridge/rari/
1. On https://relay.link/bridge/rari/, connect your preferred wallet.
2. Choose the network from which you'd like to bridge your ETH (Ethereum is the most common). Make sure that RARI Chain is the network to which you're bridging.
3. Enter the amount of ETH you want to add to RARI Chain. If you are bridging for a specific NFT, consider bridging an additional amount to cover gas fees and potential marketplace fees.
4. Click "the Bridge" Button.
This bridging option is often the quickest and least expensive way to add funds to RARI Chain.
Arbitrum Native Bridge
1. Go to https://bridge.arbitrum.io/?destinationChain=rari-mainnet&sourceChain=arbitrum-one and connect your wallet.
2. Select the network from which you'd like to bridge your ETH. Note that if your ETH is on Ethereum, you may need to first bridge from Ethereum to Arbitrum One before you can bridge to RARI Chain.
3. Enter the amount of ETH you'd like to bridge to RARI Chain.
4. Click "Move funds to RARI Chain" (or, first "Move funds to Arbitrum One" if you are converting from Ethereum).

What is an L3? How is it different from L2?
We have observed that L1s and L2s are public general-purpose blockchains with fixed capabilities. L3s are built and tailored to the needs a specific team or application, enabling a wider range of customization, usability, costs, and performance while inheriting the security of their settlement layer (i.e. Ethereum).
In building RARI Chain, we wanted a customizable, low cost, high performance blockchain to cater to the unique needs of NFTs, making L3 a sound architecture choice for RARI Chain.
